A multi-agency police operation across the Darling Downs has culminated in the arrest of a 30-year-old man from Cunnamulla, charged with a series of serious offences including robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm. This follows a string of incidents that started early this month, putting the local communities on high alert. The series of crimes began on April 7, when a 22-year-old woman was threatened with a firearm at a property in Wheatvale. The assailants proceeded to steal two vehicles. Weeks later, on April 19, the same man broke into a medical facility in Toowoomba, stealing a handbag and a Hyundai i30 from the car park. His spree continued two days later with an attempted vehicle theft in Murphy’s Creek, although he fled in the previously stolen Hyundai i30. The stolen vehicle was tracked down by Polair to an address in Oakey, leading to the swift arrest of the suspect. The man now faces 17 charges, including two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and charges related to robbery, attempted robbery, and the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. His court appearance is scheduled for today at the Toowoomba Magistrates Court. Queensland Police have urged anyone with additional information to come forward and contact Policelink or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers. The community’s cooperation is vital in preventing further incidents and ensuring public safety. Post navigation Young Offender Charged in Woodridge
