Police have apprehended a 13-year-old boy in Woodridge, charging him with multiple property offences, following a series of incidents on April 21. The charges include four counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of enter premises and commit an indictable offence, and additional charges of receiving tainted property, wilful damage, stealing, and obstructing a police officer.

The arrest occurred after local police responded to reports of juveniles entering backyards in Birun Street and Wilbin Street. Upon their arrival, one of the youths fled on foot but was subsequently caught. The boy was denied police bail and is scheduled to appear in the Beenleigh Children’s Court.

While one suspect is in custody, the second 13-year-old involved in the incidents remains at large, with police continuing their investigations. The Queensland Police has urged anyone with information to come forward and assist by contacting Policelink or reporting anonymously through Crime Stoppers.

This incident highlights ongoing issues related to juvenile crime in the region and reinforces the need for community vigilance and cooperation with law enforcement authorities.
