NASA has announced the upcoming launch of the Progress 95 cargo spacecraft, scheduled for 6:21 p.m. EDT on April 25, 2026, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. This mission will transport approximately three tons of essential supplies, including food and fuel, to the International Space Station (ISS). The launch, conducted using a Soyuz rocket, will be broadcast live starting at 6 p.m. EDT across multiple platforms, including NASA+, Amazon Prime, and the agency’s YouTube channel. The spacecraft is expected to dock autonomously with the ISS after a two-day journey, connecting to the Zvezda module’s aft port at 8 p.m. on April 27. Progress 95 will stay attached to the ISS for about seven months, supporting the continuous habitation of the station, which has been ongoing for over 25 years. This mission is part of NASA’s broader efforts to sustain long-duration human spaceflights and expand commercial opportunities in low Earth orbit. Following its mission, Progress 95 will depart and re-enter Earth’s atmosphere, disposing of onboard trash. This follows the undocking and re-entry of Progress 93, which occurred on April 20, 2026.
