On April 23, 2026, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is set to sign the Artemis Accords in a formal ceremony at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. The event, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. EDT, will be hosted by NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman. Distinguished guests including Ambassador Dina Kawar of Jordan and U.S. Department of State Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, Ruth Perry, will also be in attendance.

The Artemis Accords, first established in 2020 during the Trump administration, are a framework for cooperation in civil space exploration, enhancing safety, transparency, and coordination on the Moon, Mars, and beyond. Initiated by the United States through NASA and the State Department, the accords now include Jordan as the 63rd signatory nation.

The signing ceremony is scheduled to take place in the James E. Webb Memorial Auditorium at the Mary W. Jackson building, NASA Headquarters. Media wishing to cover the event must RSVP by 5 p.m. on April 22. This milestone underscores the growing global interest in space exploration and the commitment to peaceful and cooperative expansion into the cosmos.
