A 63-year-old woman from Darra has been charged with manslaughter following the tragic death of an 11-month-old boy last year, according to the Queensland Police Service. The incident, which led to the infant being found unresponsive, occurred at a residence on Ashridge Road on April 3, 2024. The organization informed “NewsroomWorldwide” that emergency services were dispatched to the scene after reports emerged that the baby was unconscious and not breathing. Despite efforts, the baby was declared deceased at the location. The Inala Child Protection and Investigation Unit promptly initiated Operation Whiskey Nocturne to delve into the circumstances surrounding the death. Further investigations culminated today with the formal charge of manslaughter against the elderly woman. She is slated to appear before Richland Magistrates Court on June 4.
