The Queensland Police Service has accepted all nine recommendations from the Crime and Corruption Commission following an investigation into arrangements for a conditional offer to lease a building in Stones Corner in September 2023.

The CCC report was tabled in Queensland Parliament on November 5, 2026. Acting Commissioner Brett Pointing said the investigation identified serious failures in governance, financial management, decision-making, organisational culture and oversight.

The report found no evidence of dishonesty, improper relationships or personal benefit involving any individual. However, Pointing said the findings represented a systemic failure that should not be repeated.

QPS said it had spent the past two years strengthening its leasing, procurement and governance systems. Reforms include tighter controls on key decisions, clearer leasing policies, dedicated executive oversight of procurement, increased scrutiny of spending and earlier escalation of financial risks.
