OpenAI has outlined measures designed to strengthen the security of its frontier model training and evaluation environments, including the use of offline systems and high-compute red-teaming.

In a post published Oct. 23, the company said the containment measures are intended to help protect advanced model development environments while enabling more rigorous testing.

OpenAI provided the update in a blog post titled “Securing our frontier model training environment.” The announcement focused on training and evaluation security but did not disclose further technical details in the distributed summary.
