Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine is ready to pursue peace and called for continued international efforts to end the war during a joint press conference in Oslo with the leaders of Norway and Finland.

Zelenskyy thanked Norway and Finland for their support and said Ukraine was coordinating with European and American partners on possible diplomatic steps. He said U.S. representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner were involved in the discussions, while European security advisers were also expected to participate.

The Ukrainian president said Kyiv had supported a U.S. proposal for an energy ceasefire, but accused Russia of continuing attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. He said Ukraine was prepared to avoid strikes on sensitive Russian energy facilities if Moscow took reciprocal action, adding that Russian President Vladimir Putin had rejected the proposal.

Zelenskyy also backed the possibility of a trilateral meeting of the Ukrainian, Russian and U.S. leaders. He said Witkoff was scheduled to travel to Russia and that Ukraine, the United States and European partners would continue working on proposals aimed at ending the conflict.
