A 29-year-old man has died after a two-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway at Martyville, in Queensland’s Cassowary Coast region, on May 26. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident. Police said a Toyota Yaris and a semi-trailer, travelling in opposite directions, collided at about 2:10 p.m. just north of Moresby. The driver of the Toyota, a Woodridge man, died at the scene. The semi-trailer driver was not physically injured. Police are appealing for witnesses, including anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to come forward as investigations continue. Police also urged motorists to avoid dangerous behaviours such as speeding, driving under the influence, driving while fatigued or distracted, and failing to wear a seatbelt.
