First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, together with key Ukrainian government officials including the Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy – Minister of Culture Tetiana Berezhna, recently attended the premiere of a unique theatrical performance by the Veterans Theater. The event, part of the nationwide Barrier-Free Week, showcased “Eneida,” a play written and performed by veterans of the Ukrainian armed forces. The Veterans Theater is an innovative project initiated by the Communications Department of the Command of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine alongside the Theater of Playwrights. It serves as a platform for psychological rehabilitation and creative expression, helping veterans to process their experiences through the art of theater. The project enables veterans to write and stage their own stories, providing both a therapeutic outlet and a step towards societal reintegration. During the premiere, Olena Zelenska applauded the veterans for their courage not only in their service but also in choosing to relive their experiences on stage for public viewing. She highlighted the therapeutic aspects of the endeavor, emphasizing how creativity and active participation in artistic processes can facilitate healing. “In Veterans Theater’s ‘Eneida,’ today’s Cossacks are on stage, rethinking their wartime experiences and finding new perspectives,” Zelenska remarked. She concluded by stressing the importance of making art accessible to all, not just during special events but throughout the year. Post navigation Tragic Highway Incident in Kabra
