Man Dies in Narangba Police Shooting

A man has died after being shot by police during a domestic violence incident at a home in Narangba, north of Brisbane, early on May 24. Queensland Police declared a crime scene following the incident on Cavill Way.

Police said officers were called to the property about 12:30 a.m. after receiving reports that an armed man was making threats. The man allegedly approached officers while armed with a firearm and continued making threats before police shot him.

Officers provided first aid and performed CPR, but the man died at the scene. No other people were injured, and police said there was no ongoing threat to the community.

The Ethical Standards Command is investigating the shooting under the oversight of the Crime and Corruption Commission. Investigations remain ongoing. The police reference number is QP2600987404.
