A 31-year-old man has died and another person was injured in a single-vehicle crash at Widgee in Queensland early on May 15, 2026. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident. Police were called to Gympie Woolooga Road, near Little Widgee Road, at about 12:30 a.m. after reports that a Holden Commodore had crashed. The passenger, a 31-year-old man from Peregian Beach, was declared dead at the scene. The driver, a 30-year-old Widgee man, was taken to Gympie Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
