A 37-year-old Slacks Creek man has been charged with murder following the death of a 27-year-old woman at a property in Slacks Creek, Queensland, on August 12. Emergency services were called to a Rowanda Street address shortly before 12:30 a.m. after reports of an assault. Officers found the woman unresponsive, and paramedics performed CPR before she was declared dead at the scene at about 1 a.m. Police allege the man and woman were known to each other. The man has been charged with one count each of murder, classified as a domestic violence offence, and contravening a domestic violence order. He was refused police bail and is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 13. Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch are continuing their investigation and have appealed for information.
