Man Charged After Slacks Creek Death

A 37-year-old Slacks Creek man has been charged with murder following the death of a 27-year-old woman at a property in Slacks Creek, Queensland, on August 12.

Emergency services were called to a Rowanda Street address shortly before 12:30 a.m. after reports of an assault. Officers found the woman unresponsive, and paramedics performed CPR before she was declared dead at the scene at about 1 a.m.

Police allege the man and woman were known to each other. The man has been charged with one count each of murder, classified as a domestic violence offence, and contravening a domestic violence order. He was refused police bail and is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 13.
