Man Wanted After Sunnybank Machete Attack

Queensland Police are investigating an alleged machete attack at a residence in Sunnybank on August 12 that left a 57-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries. The alleged offender remains at large.

Police said the incident followed a verbal altercation between the victim and a man known to him at a Selwyn Street address at about 5 p.m. The man allegedly damaged property inside the home before striking the victim with a machete, injuring his arm and forehead.

The alleged offender then fled the property on foot. The victim was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment. Police said the matter is not being treated as domestic and family violence.
