A 45-year-old Kedron man has been charged with 12 offences following an alleged hit-and-run incident involving a police vehicle and two parked cars in Ningi, Moreton Bay, last week. No one was injured. Queensland Police said a grey Lexus, fitted with allegedly stolen licence plates, was driven toward a police vehicle outside a business on Regina Avenue shortly before 1pm on July 15. The vehicle allegedly then struck a white Nissan Pathfinder and a blue Toyota Corolla before leaving the scene. The Lexus was later found abandoned on Bestman Road. Following further investigations, officers from the Moreton Tactical Crime Squad arrested the man outside a Chermside address on July 17. The charges include dangerous operation of a vehicle, evading police, unlicensed driving, driving an uninsured and unregistered vehicle, using false plates and failing to comply with duties after a crash. Bail was denied, and the man is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 13. Police are continuing their investigation and have appealed for information or relevant vision.
