A 21-year-old woman has died after suffering serious burns in a unit fire at Buderim, Queensland Police said. The fire broke out overnight on July 19 at a complex on King Street. Emergency services were called at about 7:30 p.m. after reports that one unit was fully engulfed. The woman, from Kallangur, escaped the property and was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where she later died. Residents of neighbouring units were evacuated. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and police investigations are continuing. Authorities are seeking witnesses and anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage.
