A 16-year-old boy has been charged after allegedly stabbing another teenager during a confrontation at a Karawatha educational facility on Thursday morning, Queensland Police reported.

The incident occurred around 11:45 AM at the junction of Acacia Road and Compton Road. It involved a 16-year-old boy reportedly attacking a 17-year-old Logan boy with a small knife, leading to life-threatening injuries. The victim received immediate on-site medical treatment before being rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Following the altercation, the accused fled the scene on foot but was apprehended shortly after in a vehicle on Gowan Road, Stretton. Queensland Police have charged the young perpetrator with acts intended to maim, disfigure, disable, and unlawful possession of a weapon. He is scheduled to appear before Richlands Children’s Court on Friday.
