A teenage boy was seriously injured in a violent altercation at a school in Karawatha, Queensland, prompting a swift response from local police. The incident occurred on the morning of July 14th and involved two teenage boys known to each other.

According to the Queensland Police Service (QPS), the confrontation took place around 11:45 AM at an educational institution located at the intersection of Acacia Road and Compton Road. The clash led to one 17-year-old boy sustaining life-threatening injuries and being rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital for urgent medical care.

Following the incident, the second participant, a 16-year-old boy, initially evaded the authorities. However, he was later apprehended in a vehicle on Gowan Road, Stretton, and is currently cooperating with the police investigation.

QPS has assured the public that there is no ongoing threat following the arrest. In their continued investigation, the police are urging anyone with relevant information or possession of CCTV or dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
