Kallangur’s Night of Crime

Queensland police arrested two men in Kallangur, seizing a firearm and drugs, following a patrol operation by the Moreton District Tactical Crime Squad. The incident occurred late Sunday evening, May 31, when officers spotted suspicious activities around a black GWM station wagon at a local service station.

The vehicle, which allegedly had counterfeit license plates, was at Ferrier Street when law enforcement intervened. A search of the car unveiled a shortened rifle, multiple rounds of ammunition, and a significant quantity of drugs. The two men at the scene, the driver and his passenger, were immediately taken into custody.

A 31-year-old from Lawnton faces multiple charges including drug possession, unlawful weapon possession, and driving without a license. His accomplice, a 30-year-old from Eagleby, was charged with possessing dangerous drugs and other related offenses. Both are scheduled to appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on June 15.
