A dramatic incident involving dangerous driving and a firearm unfolded on April 13th on the Houghton Highway bridge in Clontarf, leading to the arrest of two individuals. Queensland Police reported that the dangerous conduct occurred shortly before 4 PM when occupants of a silver Holden Astra allegedly threatened another driver. According to police, a male passenger in the Holden Astra pointed what appeared to be a firearm at the driver of a Subaru Liberty during northbound travel on the bridge. The situation escalated when the passenger allegedly exited the vehicle and approached the Subaru at a traffic light. The Subaru’s driver, a 31-year-old man, managed to flee the scene as the Astra pursued him in a dangerous manner. Police later intercepted the Holden Astra in Redcliffe, where they arrested the occupants and confirmed the weapon was a replica. The 29-year-old male passenger from Strathpine faces charges of dangerous conduct with a weapon and threatening violence and was denied police bail. He is scheduled to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court today. The Astra’s 63-year-old female driver from Redcliffe was also charged and will appear in court on May 11. The Subaru driver escaped physical harm. Authorities are now seeking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident. Queensland Police urge those with information to contact Policelink or report anonymously via Crime Stoppers. Post navigation Gunalda Tragedy: Man Killed in Crash Wheelie Stunt Ends in Fine
