NASA, in collaboration with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), has launched a new initiative called NASA Force, aimed at recruiting top-tier technical talent to bolster the United States’ leadership in space exploration and technology. Announced on March 4, 2026, this program is part of the broader US Tech Force initiative but is specially tailored to meet the unique demands of NASA’s missions.

NASA Force seeks to attract and deploy the nation’s best engineers and technologists into critical roles that support NASA’s priorities in exploration, research, and the development of advanced technologies. This strategic move ensures that NASA continues to lead with cutting-edge expertise in a rapidly evolving space industry.

According to NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, the success of America’s space endeavors heavily relies on exceptional talent. “NASA Force will help us attract the next generation of innovators and technical experts ready to tackle the most challenging problems in exploration, science, and aerospace technology,” Isaacman stated. OPM Director Scott Kupor emphasized the significance of this initiative, noting that NASA represents the zenith of American innovation and that NASA Force will secure access to the finest engineering and technological minds in the country.

The initiative builds on the momentum of the US Tech Force, which has already seen significant interest from potential candidates, particularly among early- and mid-career technologists eager to contribute their skills to public service.
