A fatal traffic accident in Maryborough has resulted in the death of a 75-year-old man from Bidwill, Queensland Police reported. The incident occurred on Teddington Road around 11:15 PM yesterday, when the vehicle the man was driving veered off the road and collided with a tree.

The driver died at the scene of the accident. Accompanying him was a 66-year-old woman, also from Bidwill, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was subsequently transported to Hervey Bay Hospital for treatment. Authorities are currently conducting investigations to determine the precise cause of the crash.
