NASA and SpaceX are targeting the return of the Crew-12 astronauts from the International Space Station, with undocking planned for Oct. 7 and splashdown off the California coast scheduled for Oct. 8, pending weather and mission readiness. NASA will stream coverage of the departure and landing online.

The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft is scheduled to undock at 8:05 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, Oct. 7. Hatch closure coverage will begin at 6 a.m., followed by hatch closing at 6:20 a.m. and undocking coverage at 7:45 a.m. NASA will provide audio communications between the crew, the space station and flight controllers after the spacecraft departs.

Return coverage is scheduled to begin at 10:20 a.m. EDT on Thursday, Oct. 8. A deorbit burn is planned for 10:46 a.m., followed by splashdown at approximately 11:34 a.m. off the California coast. All times are subject to change based on real-time operations and conditions in the recovery area.

The Crew-12 team includes NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev. NASA also plans an International Space Station briefing at 1:15 p.m. on Oct. 8, covering the crew’s return and the upcoming SpaceX Commercial Resupply Services-35 launch.
