Queensland Police have charged a 48-year-old North Maclean man with grievous bodily harm following an alleged serious assault in the suburb on September 3. Police allege a 36-year-old Redbank man and a 50-year-old woman became involved in an altercation near Beryl Parade at about 7:30 p.m. A 48-year-old man then allegedly pushed the Redbank man to the ground and assaulted him with a weapon. The injured man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police arrested the North Maclean man nearby and said he was refused bail. He is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on September 4. Investigators are seeking information, dashcam footage or CCTV recordings related to the incident.
