A 21-year-old man has been charged after allegedly threatening a taxi driver with a firearm during a disturbance in Murarrie, Brisbane, Queensland Police said. Police allege the man refused to pay a taxi fare before travel on Railway Street at about 8:20 p.m. on August 26 and threatened the 28-year-old driver while armed. The driver was not injured and left the scene without transporting the man, a woman and two children. Dutton Park Criminal Investigations Branch officers, assisted by specialist police, arrested the man in Capalaba at about 1:15 p.m. on August 27. The Berserker man was charged with common assault and dangerous conduct with a weapon. Police bail was refused, and he is expected to appear at Cleveland Magistrates Court on August 28.
