Queensland police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a traffic crash near Gympie left an 18-year-old woman injured last week.

Police said a white Toyota coupe was travelling across a single-lane bridge on Mooloo Road, between Glen Musa Road and Burgess Road, at about 1:15 p.m. on Friday, August 21, when it swerved to avoid a silver SUV. The Toyota then left the roadway and entered the water below, while the SUV continued from the scene.

The coupe’s sole occupant, an 18-year-old woman from Greens Creek, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition. Investigators are seeking information from anyone who witnessed the crash or has footage of the incident or a silver SUV in the area at the time.
