Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska honored fallen Ukrainian warriors in Kyiv on Aug. 24, marking the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine’s independence.

The couple visited the Wall of Remembrance, where they walked along the memorial alley dedicated to fallen defenders of Ukraine.

Zelenskyy and Zelenska observed a minute of silence in memory of the soldiers who died defending the country. The event was reported on the official website of the President of Ukraine.
