Queensland Police are appealing for public assistance after a 74-year-old man was allegedly assaulted at Warana Beach earlier this month. Police said the incident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. on August 8. The alleged offender was described as a Caucasian man about 180 centimetres tall with a medium build, shoulder-length curly grey hair and yellow or gold mirrored sunglasses. He may be in his 40s or 50s. The man was accompanied by a Caucasian woman, about 165 centimetres tall with an average build and shoulder-length straight hair. The pair were also with an adult golden retriever. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information is urged to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers, quoting reference number QP2601556322. Investigations remain ongoing.
