Queensland police are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted and his vehicle stolen during an incident at a Gin Gin service station on August 18. Emergency services were called to the Mulgrave Street service station about 10 p.m. Police allege two men, who were unknown to the victim, threatened him with a knife before striking him in the head with a metal rod. The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Bundaberg Hospital in stable condition. The offenders allegedly stole his vehicle keys and fled in a white Isuzu Max station wagon bearing New South Wales registration EEL38R. Police are seeking anyone who saw the vehicle or has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage. Information can be provided to Policelink on 131 444 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
