Motorcyclist Dies in East Barron Crash

A 64-year-old man died and two people were injured after a motorcycle and a vehicle collided head-on at East Barron in Queensland on August 16, police said. The crash occurred on Gillies Range Road shortly after 3 p.m.

Queensland Police said the man, from Parramatta Park, was riding a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle when it collided with a silver SsangYong Rexton. He died at the scene.

The motorcycle’s 50-year-old female passenger was taken to Cairns Hospital with serious injuries. The vehicle’s front passenger sustained minor injuries, while the driver and two rear passengers were not physically injured.
