A 64-year-old man died and two people were injured after a motorcycle and a vehicle collided head-on at East Barron in Queensland on August 16, police said. The crash occurred on Gillies Range Road shortly after 3 p.m. Queensland Police said the man, from Parramatta Park, was riding a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle when it collided with a silver SsangYong Rexton. He died at the scene. The motorcycle’s 50-year-old female passenger was taken to Cairns Hospital with serious injuries. The vehicle’s front passenger sustained minor injuries, while the driver and two rear passengers were not physically injured. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the collision.
