Man Arrested After Slacks Creek Death

A 37-year-old man has been arrested following the death of a 27-year-old woman at Slacks Creek in the early hours of August 12, Queensland Police said. The pair were known to each other, and police said there was no ongoing threat to the community.

Emergency services were called to a property on Rowanda Street shortly before 12:30 a.m. after reports of an assault. Officers arrived within minutes and found the woman unresponsive. Police and paramedics performed CPR before she was declared dead at the scene at about 1 a.m.

The Slacks Creek man was arrested at the address and is assisting police with inquiries. A crime scene has been established as detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
