Queensland police are appealing for public assistance after a man was allegedly assaulted and threatened with a knife during an armed robbery in Rothwell early Friday morning. Police said the 55-year-old man was walking along Morris Road at about 5am when he was approached from behind by a male and female. The pair allegedly threatened him with a knife and demanded his property before fleeing. The Rothwell man suffered minor hand injuries and was taken to Redcliffe Hospital in a stable condition.
