Samsung Electronics has announced the global rollout of its latest foldable smartphones and smartwatches, including the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9. Sales are scheduled to begin Aug. 7 in select markets, with availability expanding across 106 markets through carriers, retailers, Samsung.com and Samsung Experience Stores. Samsung said preorders for the new Galaxy Z lineup rose by more than 30% compared with the previous generation. The company highlighted the Galaxy Z Fold8’s lighter design and revised display proportions, while the Fold8 Ultra features an 8-inch main display, a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 5,000 mAh battery. The Galaxy Z Flip8 includes an updated FlexWindow cover display, AI-assisted features and a 50-megapixel camera designed for flexible-angle photography. Samsung also introduced software tools such as Dual Recording and My FanCam across the new foldable lineup, although feature availability may vary by market, device and supported applications. The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is aimed at outdoor and performance-focused users, with a 47-millimeter case, an 800 mAh battery and enhanced durability ratings. The Galaxy Watch9, available in 40- and 44-millimeter sizes, focuses on everyday activity, sleep and wellness tracking. Customers purchasing a new Galaxy Z device will also be eligible for a six-month Google AI Pro trial in participating markets, subject to terms and conditions.
