Queensland Police have charged five people after a 13-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted and robbed at a bus stop near a shopping centre on Creek Road, Carindale, on July 31. Police allege the group approached the boy shortly after 2 p.m. and demanded his bag while threatening violence. The boy reportedly tried to flee but was chased, assaulted and robbed before the group left the area. Officers attended soon afterward and arrested the five nearby. The boy did not suffer physical injuries, police said. Three 16-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy were each charged with robbery in company and held in custody. They are due to reappear on Aug. 4. An 18-year-old man was also charged with robbery in company and remanded in custody ahead of a court appearance on Aug. 24.
