Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held discussions with leaders from France, Poland and Norway on diplomatic efforts, energy support and bilateral relations, according to updates published by the Office of the President of Ukraine on July 29, 2026. During a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, Zelenskyy discussed prospects for diplomatic efforts and continued energy support for Ukraine. He also briefed Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on his diplomatic work in Washington and discussed bilateral issues, including historical dialogue between Ukraine and Poland. In a separate conversation, Zelenskyy and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre addressed opportunities to increase pressure on Russia to pursue diplomacy. The calls followed the Ukrainian president’s visit to Washington. The presidential office also reported that Zelenskyy attended a farewell ceremony for U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham at Washington National Cathedral. Separately, First Lady Olena Zelenska visited education and youth initiatives in Ukraine’s Chernivtsi region, including a school nutrition festival, the School of Superheroes and the Voices Camp.
