Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Lublin on July 29 to discuss bilateral relations, defense cooperation and regional security. The talks included historical dialogue between Ukraine and Poland, as well as Ukraine’s diplomatic efforts in Washington. The leaders also addressed measures to protect Ukrainian cities and communities from Russian strikes. Zelenskyy said anti-ballistic defense was a top priority and linked Ukraine’s security with Poland’s. He also emphasized the importance of ensuring safety for Ukrainians who have fled their homes and found refuge in Poland because of the war.
