A 35-year-old man has died and two other people suffered life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash at Ripley, Queensland, on the night of July 28, police said. The crash occurred shortly before 8:50 p.m. on the Centenary Motorway near the Ripley Road roundabout. A 2014 white Ford Ranger and a 2025 blue Hyundai i30 collided. The driver of the Hyundai, a Plainland man, was declared dead at the scene. His passenger, a 30-year-old Plainland woman, and the 18-year-old South Ripley man driving the Ford were taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Ipswich Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and has appealed for witnesses, dashcam footage or CCTV recordings.
