The Queensland Police Service is investigating a serious single-vehicle crash in Harristown that left a passenger with life-threatening injuries early Sunday morning. Emergency services were called to West Street at about 2 a.m. on July 19, where they found a white Hyundai i30 that had collided with a raised median strip before striking a power pole. The passenger, a 24-year-old man from Darling Heights, was taken to Toowoomba Base Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 19-year-old driver, from Harristown, was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
