In a startling confrontation last Friday evening in West Gladstone, a 19-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly rammed a police vehicle with his car. According to the Queensland Police Service, the incident occurred around 7:20 PM when officers tried to pull over a Holden Commodore on Fowler Lane. The driver, instead of stopping, reportedly accelerated and collided with the marked police vehicle, subsequently fleeing the scene. Facing a total of six charges, including two counts of unlicensed driving, damaging an emergency vehicle, and evading arrest, the young man was denied bail. He is scheduled to appear before the Gladstone Magistrates Court on July 13.
