Police have launched an investigation into a violent burglary that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday at Coopers Plains. According to the Queensland Police Service, around 1:30 AM, five males armed with knives and baseball bats forced their way into a residence on Babbidge Street. They reportedly demanded property from the occupants, during which a 19-year-old man sustained minor injuries. The assailants conducted a search of the residence, ultimately fleeing with cash and several personal items. A crime scene has been established as police continue their forensic examinations and investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities are urging anyone who might have observed suspicious activities in the Babbidge Street area during the time of the burglary or possesses relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers. The police are determined to track down the perpetrators and are appealing to the public to come forward with any information that could assist their ongoing investigations.
