A 57-year-old man from Russell Island was arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm after an alleged assault on the evening of June 5, according to the Queensland Police Service. The incident occurred around 8:50 PM at a Roebuck Street residence, where detectives from the Bayside Criminal Investigation Branch took the suspect into custody. Following an overnight investigation, the man was charged and has been denied police bail. He is scheduled to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today to face charges.
