Queensland police are investigating a targeted shooting in Acacia Ridge that left a 38-year-old man with a non-life-threatening leg injury on May 25. Police attended a unit on Harden Street at about 9:46 p.m. and found the injured man. He was treated at the scene before being taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital. The offenders had reportedly fled before officers arrived, and police said there was no ongoing threat to the public. Investigators are also examining whether an abandoned, burnt-out utility found on Gregory Street is connected to the shooting. Police believe the vehicle was stolen from a Gordon Circuit address in Seventeen Mile Rocks between April 11 and 12.
