A woman in her 30s has died after being struck by a utility during a series of crashes on the Pacific Motorway at Loganholme, south of Brisbane, on May 18.

Queensland Police said the woman had been involved in a minor collision involving a white Audi hatchback and a black MG station wagon at about 3:40 p.m. The drivers had stopped in the northbound lanes before Exit 30 to exchange details when the woman returned to her Audi and was hit by a white Isuzu dual-cab utility.

She sustained critical injuries and was declared dead at the scene. The Isuzu driver, a man in his 30s, stopped near the Logan Motorway exit at Tanah Merah and is assisting police. Two further nose-to-tail crashes occurred in the northbound lanes, which were closed while the Forensic Crash Unit examined the scene. The road reopened shortly after 8:30 p.m.

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage. Information can be provided to Policelink on 131 444 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
