Police in Morayfield have arrested and charged a 13-year-old girl following a violent altercation late Sunday night, which resulted in another teen being hospitalized. The incident, involving two young local girls, occurred around 11:15 PM on April 17. According to the Queensland Police Service (QPS), the confrontation escalated when one of the girls produced a knife and stabbed the other. Authorities quickly located the injured girl and transported her to Queensland Children’s Hospital, where she was admitted in stable condition. Following the incident, police patrols successfully located the second girl involved, around midnight. She has been charged with wounding, possession of a knife in a public place, and stealing. The accused is scheduled to appear in Maroochydore Children’s Court today, April 18.
