Queensland Police have arrested an 18-year-old man from Carrara following a series of violent incidents, including a serious assault and attempted murder, early Tuesday morning. The sequence of events began around 1:20 AM in a fast-food restaurant’s carpark on Hinkler Drive, where the suspect allegedly threatened a 21-year-old man with a knife during a supposed transaction for luxury watches. The confrontation escalated at 4:00 AM in a residence on Plateau Crescent, where a 38-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were assaulted, sustaining serious injuries. Further incidents involved an attempted burglary on Pappas Way around 3:30 AM, which was thwarted when the occupants turned on a light upon hearing suspicious noises. The suspect fled the scene but was later apprehended by detectives. Charges against the young man include attempted murder, assault occasioning bodily harm, armed robbery, and unlawful possession of weapons and explosives.
