Logan Village, QLD—In a significant traffic operation, a 32-year-old man from Hillcrest was arrested for multiple offences, including high-range drink driving, on February 13. The arrest occurred after police intercepted his vehicle on Waterford Tamborine Road, Logan Village, Queensland Police Service reported. During the routine roadside breath test (RBT), the driver of a black Mazda 3 was found to have a breath alcohol concentration of 0.176 percent, which is more than three times the legal limit. Further investigations revealed that the man was driving without a valid license and the vehicle was unregistered. The offender faces numerous charges, including driving under the influence (DUI), operating a vehicle without a license, and failing to comply with vehicle registration requirements. Additional charges include driving an uninsured and defective vehicle, and misuse of number plates. He was granted police bail and is scheduled to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on March 17, 2026.
