Two motorcyclists were involved in a serious traffic accident in the Southern Downs region, Queensland, on the evening of April 4, 2026. Authorities are actively investigating the incident which occurred around 6:20 PM on Spring Creek Road.

According to initial reports from Queensland Police Service (QPS), a collision took place between a Honda 250 and a Kawasaki Zr900d motorbike. The crash resulted in severe consequences for the riders involved. A 65-year-old man from Killarney, piloting the Honda, sustained life-threatening injuries. He was promptly airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Conversely, the rider of the Kawasaki, a 21-year-old from Lowood, experienced minor injuries and received on-site medical evaluation. As the investigation proceeds, QPS urges anyone with information related to the crash to come forward and assist by contacting their Policelink or Crime Stoppers.
