EU Parliament’s Packed Agenda

The European Parliament in Strasbourg is set to host a series of pivotal debates and votes from January 19-25, 2026, addressing critical issues ranging from international relations to internal EU affairs.

The week will kick off with discussions on the EU’s response to President Trump’s claims on Greenland and the concerning situation in Iran, where the government’s harsh crackdown on nationwide protests will be scrutinized. The MEPs, along with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, will also deliberate on the ongoing crisis in Venezuela, particularly after the abduction of Nicolás Maduro, emphasizing the need for a peaceful democratic transition.
