Queensland police have charged a 22-year-old Logan Village man with 60 traffic-related offences allegedly committed across the Ipswich, Brisbane and Logan districts on January 1. Police said Highway Patrol officers were conducting routine patrols on Waterford Tamborine Road at Logan Village about 4:45 p.m. when they allegedly observed the learner motorcyclist travelling at 113 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. Officers later located the man at his nearby home and began an investigation into his alleged conduct throughout the day. According to police, the alleged offences included riding while standing on the motorcycle seat during a wheelie at 114 km/h on the Pacific Motorway at Eight Mile Plains. The charges include 10 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving without a licence, speeding, overtaking on the left, running a red light and lane filtering between slow or stationary vehicles.
