Two men have been charged following an alleged assault incident in Jacobs Well, Queensland, on the evening of August 8. According to Queensland Police Service, the men reportedly attempted to break into a Toyota Landcruiser on Kumgum Street when they were confronted by the vehicle’s owner.

The alleged offenders fled the scene on foot before authorities arrived. However, police patrols from Coomera and Pimpama stations apprehended the suspects at the Jacobs Well boat ramp shortly after.

A 27-year-old man from Jacobs Well faces charges of unlawful vehicle entry and common assault, while a 25-year-old from Evans Head has been charged with common assault. Both are scheduled to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on August 21.
